Mobile Growth Is Set To Explode

If you haven’t read it already elsewhere on the interweb, Facebook announced that it received 15million hits to its mobile site, that is up from 5million hits at the beginning of this year. They also had nearly a million status updates in the first 24 hours of pushing the update feature to their mobile website.

These figures (as incredible as they are) don’t surprise me much. Working at Younique over the past few weeks has made me realize how huge the Mobile industry is about to become. The growth is incredible. More and more people are using Mobile handsets to browse and search the web and you can be sure that we will soon have a massive industry of its own. You will start seeing mobile web design companies and mobile seo’s popping up everywhere and “mobile” will be the new buzz word.
