Finding Good Programming Blogs

While browsing through my RSS feed subscriptions on bloglines lately, I am finding that I am getting really bored by reading the usual tech blogs such as techcrunch, mashable, siliconalley et al. I think it’s actually an information overload. On any given day these sites post 10+ news articles and the majority of them I have no interest in at all. I really dont care if the iPhone has a data outage in the north east of the USA.

So anyway, the best solution to this information overload problem seems to be sites like hacker news and reddit. They help me find really good articles from the usual sources like techcrunch plus a bunch of other cool blogs.

Some of the blogs that I am enjoying reading the most are blogs by independant developers (usually hosted on blogger or wordpress.com). 99% of the time these blogs provide very thoughtful and informative articles on technology, programming, etc etc. If you have a blog of your own, link me to it in the comments so that I can subscribe. Would love to find some new blogs to subscribe to.

I actually have a pretty cool idea for a web app that helps cut through the clutter of tech, development news etc. It involves twitter and I am thinking I will build it in Python + Django. Hmm, let me first learn Python and review my Django book…
